Are you offering in-person sessions?

We offer nationwide Telehealth services only through Google Meet.

Does Vesta Counseling Services accept my insurance?

As of March 11, 2025, we only accept CT Medicaid (Husky) insurance. A self-pay option with a sliding fee scale is available to all clients and a superbill can be provided upon request for submission towards out-of-network benefits. Many clients have successfully been reimbursed with their out-of-network benefits plan offered by their insurance company.

What can I expect on my first visit?

You can expect a casual conversation about what brings you in to therapy, and we will come up with a plan together about how to best tailor your treatment specifically to you. If we feel that we can be of service to you, and if you would like to start your sessions with us, you will be scheduled for your second appointment before you leave.

How do I log on to my session?

You will be sent a Calendar Invitation through Google Calendar that includes a link for Google Meet. Your link will always be in the calendar invitation, which you will receive through your email.

What should I do if I can't attend my appointment?

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please text or call your clinician to let them know.  Many individuals are in need of our services, and we would like to reassign your time period if you cannot attend.  If you are running late and you do not notify us ahead of time, we will wait for you a maximum of 10 minutes.  If you do not make it within the allotted 10 minutes, you will be considered a "no-show", your appointment will be cancelled, and you will be charged the $50 cancellation fee. Please note that insurance does not cover your cancellation fee. Missing more than two appointments without appropriate notice means that you will not be rescheduled, as it is assumed that you are unable to commit to treatment.

What if Vesta Counseling Services is not a good fit for me?

You are under no obligation to continue utilizing our services and we don’t take that personally.  We will be happy to work with you to help make appropriate referrals that best fit your needs.

What should I do if my medication runs out?

Vesta Counseling Services does not prescribe medication.  You should contact the prescriber (doctor/provider) for a refill.  If your prescriber is not available, please head to your nearest emergency center.
